Hi! I'm Nancy Piper. I'm often asked how I ended up in the pet cemetery and crematory  business. In 1977 I had a very sick cat named Adam Blu. I thought he was going to die. I talked  about what I was going to do with his body. I figured I'd bury him in my back yard and buy a  gravestone from one of my human cemetery friends to mark his grave. I was working with  human cemeteries at the time. Adam Blu recovered. I was at a cemetery convention in Ohio in  1978. Somebody told me the pet cemetery in Kansas City was for sale. What??!!?? Pet  cemetery in Kansas City?? Where I live?? I came back home, found it, and bought it. My cat  Adam Blu was buried in my cemetery in 1984. I didn't know there were pet cemeteries, pet  crematories, pet caskets, pet urns, etc. All the services and products available for humans are  also available for pets, those wonderful members of our families.  That's how I came to own a pet cemetery and crematory. Also, I love pets, I love people, and I  love the cemetery business, so it is a perfect business for me. It's where I can help most. Now  it's a perfect business for my husband and me. In 1995, Gary Piper and I were married. His  family of one dog and two cats joined mine of two dogs and one cat, two horses and one mule.  Gary came to work at Rolling Acres Memorial Gardens that same year. I am blessed. Now we  have office cats, house cats, and barn cats along with 3 dogs, 6 horses, 8 mules and a donkey  as our family.
